The Khanna police today launched a hunt for Rustam-e-Hind, Arjuna awardee Jagdish Singh Bhola who is allegedly the kingpin of an international gang involved in the smuggling of banned chemicals to foreign countries, including Canada.

1 killed in accident

Sukhdev Singh (23) of Bughipura was killed and Gagandeep Singh of the same village injured when a Tata Sumo (HR-01F-1087) driven by Hakam Singh of Talwandi Maliana dashed against a motor cycle (PB-10BN-4263) near T point Nanaksar on the Moga-Ludhiana GT Road.

100 Bhutta students honoured

Gurmat camp at GGN College

Many Sikh scholars gathered here to participate in a Gurmat Training camp organised at Gujrawala Guru Nanak College today. They debated on various ways and means, which could be adopted to channelise the energy of youth so as to keep them away from narcotics and drugs.

Diamond jubilee festivities at Sacred Heart

To mark the Diamond Jubilee year, Sacred Heart Convent senior secondary school, Sarabha Nagar, today organised its annual function. Ashok Ganguly, chairman, CBSE, Delhi was the chief guest. Attired in ethnic punjabi dresses, performed gidda and bhangra. ‘Jaago’ was taken out. The function started with 'manglacharan', a sequence dance.
