He fought insurgency but can’t battle tenant

A brigadier, who is fighting insurgency in Kashmir, is forced to fight a battle of sorts for removing a tenant from his house in Sarabha Nagar, even after the lease
period expired in September. Brig D.P.S. Sandhu, posted as Deputy GO, Doda, who retires in February, had issued a notice to his tenant to vacate the house.

National award for two NGOs

Sat Paul Mittal National Award for outstanding service to humanity was presented to The Banyan,
Chennai, and D.R. Mehta, Jaipur. The Banyan has rehabilitated and rescued around 1,800 mentally ill women and has re-united 850 of them to their families.
