Railways to pay Rs 10,000 for harassment
Ludhiana, December 2
The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum has ordered officials of the Northern Railway to pay Rs 10,000 in compensation to a senior citizen. The 69-year old had alleged harassment due to the negligence of railway officials.
Kabaddi not foreign to them

60 pc children given polio drops
 Ludhiana, December 2
The deputy speaker of Punjab assembly, Sat Pal Gosain, today formally launched the mop up pulse polio campaign in the district by giving polio drops to an infant at the civil hospital here.
Civil surgeon Sat Pal Sharma, district vaccination officer Manjit Kaur and SMO of the hospital, Dr Kuldip Kaur
Sahni, were also present. Dr Sat Pal Sharma later inaugurated polio booths set up here. He said the mop up polio drive was being organised in the wake of a polio case having been detected in Moga district.
