A 16-year-old girl, allegedly forced into prostitution at the age of 14 and sold off to a brothel in Delhi for Rs 90,000 by her parents, has won a battle against the accused with the local police finally registering a case against them.

Excise duty evasion of crores of rupees

In a rare move, the Central Excise Commissionerate arrested Atul Gupta of Waryam Steels for allegedly engaging in massive excise duty evasion here last evening. Gupta was later released on bail.

The Delhi High Court has ordered in favour of ESPN STAR Sports (ESPN), the official broadcaster of the India tour of Australia, in its suit for permanent injunction filed against cable operators across the country against unauthorised broadcast of the India tour of Australia, restraining all cable operators from unauthorisedly showing the forthcoming India tour of Australia through their cable networks.
