Rakhi Sawant, who features in music videos and movies, today filed a criminal complaint against ‘Star Plus’ accusing them of rigging viewer polls after she lost in the reality show - ‘Nach Baliye 3’.

Accompanied by her choreographer Abhishek Awasthi, Rakhi filed a complaint with the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai.

Rakhi and Abhishek lost in the final round to actors Sanjida Sheik and Amir Ali who feature in serials aired on Star Plus. The two alleged that the SMS poll which chose the winner was rigged by the channel. They later told the media that the voting was manipulated and the channel blocked SMS’s sent in their favour.

They also alleged that the channel wanted to promote its own shows by ensuring the victory of its actors in contests like Nach Baliye.

Police officials said Rakhi and Abhishek had submitted written complaints against Star Plus. However, no case had been registered so far. Both of them were judged runners up during the show.
