In a fresh violence today, about 60 persons were injured, 10 of them with bullet wounds, when security forces and the police opened fire and lobbed tear gas shells to disperse demonstrators supporting the ‘Muzaffarabad chalo’ march and protesting the killings during the past three days in
the valley.

harmony: Eminent citizens Eminent citizens of the country have appealed for restoration of
harmony in Jammu and Kashmir. The following is their statement:— “We are deeply pained by the tragic turn of events in Jammu
and Kashmir that has led to the killings of several citizens in the
Kashmir Valley and Jammu division. The authorities must intervene
effectively to ensure there is no recurrence and also address
substantive issues.

cop, were killed and at least 60 were injured in clashes in
Greater Noida between farmers, the police and the PAC cops for
over two hours today.
