The new year is here again

2008 ran away like an express train

It is time to make a new resolution

We promise to fulfil it with devotion

A new horizon lies ahead

We hope our sorrows will end

May this new year bring with it peace

May the mind be free of tension and remain at peace

We pray that there are no more

terrorist attacks

And no more security lapses

We pray to God that there will be no more tears in anyone’s eyes

May the new ray of hope

illuminate our lives

It’s my prayer to the Almighty

May the new year be full of

prosperity

You always send help whenever earth needs

Rama came to end Ravana, Krishna for Kans’ misdeeds.

Today the giant of terrorism is

eating away our joy

Why are you not hearing our cry

Fill your creations with the

fragrance of peace

Teach them love, god teach

them please

Check their evil designs with your magic sword

Shower your blessings on this scared world

Pour a feeling of purity in

everyone’s heart

‘Live and let live’ is heaven’s part

Bless your people in this new year

Let there be a wonderful world where everyone lives without any fear.
