Dehradun, January 31
Traffic on the busy Rajpur road was
disrupted following the information of a bomb on Dilaram Chowk here
tonight. According to police officials, the bomb disposal squad of the
Uttarakhand police received the information at 8 pm that a black bag
having some wires was lying abandoned near Dilaram Chowk.

gives up, may not get his girl

Dreaded dacoit Jaggan Gujjar
surrendered unconditionally before Sachin Pilot, MP, in Kemri village on
Saturday during Bhagwan Jagdish Narayan Basant Panchmi festival, the
biggest fair of Gujjars in the country. The Tribune had reported on
Saturday how Jaggan wanted to give up if he was allowed to live, even if
in jail, with Komesh, his lady love and gang member, who is lodged in
Dholpur women jail since November last.

NH-22 stretch by Feb 1: HC
Chandigarh, January 31
The Punjab and Haryana High Court
wants nothing to come in way of easing traffic flow on the
Zirakpur-Parwanoo stretch of National Highway-22. A Division Bench of
the high court, comprising Justice Uma Nath Singh and Justice AN Jindal,
has asked the authorities concerned to give the shopkeepers and other
encroachers time till the midnight of February 1. In case the
encroachments are not removed voluntarily, the authorities have been
given the liberty to initiate action against them.
