Lashkar warns of more attacks

Pakistan based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba today acknowledged its role in trying to push militants into India across the LOC. A Lashkar spokesman Abdulla Ghaznavi was quoted by a news agency as saying that attacks will continue on Indian soil and that the push at Kupwara was part of the LeT game plan.

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar today put its NDA ally BJP on the defensive by demanding legal action against Varun Gandhi. “ I think he cannot escape legal action,” said Kumar soon after the Allahabad High Court dismissed Varun’s plea for quashing an FIR against him and his petition for anticipatory bail with the observation that, “ prima facie there is a very strong case” against him.

Spice may pull out of Satyam race
Alleges non-transparency in bidding process
New Delhi, March 25
B K Modi's Spice Group today said it might pull out of the bidding process to buy Satyam Computer, alleging lack of transparency from the board. "We feel there is no openness and transparency... The Satyam board is now talking about another shortlisting of bidders. We do not even know who are the bidders in the first short-listing... there is no e-auction also which was our main issue to maintain transparency," Spice Group chairman B K Modi told PTI.
