War on terror

We, the youth, call a war on terror today

With our emotions, we won’t let the terrorists play

Our mother has given us much, she needs us now

So with determined hearts we take this vow

We salute the soldier’s bravery and valour

We’ll now act as our country’s sailors

We’ll sail it towards peace and harmony

And make sure there’s no word called agony

We stand by it and shout out loud

For there’ll be sunshine tomorrow if today’s a dark cloud

Slumdog’s victory

Congratulations to the Slumdog Millionaire team

To win eight Oscars was like a dream

Brilliant music of A.R. Rahman turned it into a reality

His determination wonders the world’s mentality

Gulzar sahib’s pen is a gift in Bollywood’s lap

This victory is like a feather in the cap

Child artistes have done a great job

They created their identity in the mob

It is ‘India the Great’ where they dwells

We are proud of our artistic jewels
