Amarjit Kaur was a happy mother till the other day. Today she is a worried parent. Her son Rajesh Kumar suffered 30 per cent burn injuries after a petrol bomb was hurled at him in his home in Sydney on May 28.
She has expressed the desire to meet her son as soon as possible. However, she will only be able to leave for Australia on Monday after the completion of all formalities. Rajesh hails from Harbansh Pura Colony of Yamunanagar here.“My son is stated to be out of danger. However, it will take around three to four months for him to completely recover. Therefore, I want to take care of him personally.My brother and I will leave for Australia on Monday,” said Amarjit Kaur while talking to The Tribune at her residence in Harbansh Pura Colony here.
Expressing shock, Rajesh’s sister Neelam said her brother had left for Australia on September 14, 2006, to pursue a course in hotel management.
Now, after completing the course he was working as a manager in a store in Sydney. She said her brother-in-law Vikas had been taking care of her brother in hospital.
She said Vikas had informed the family that Rajesh was now fine, but still under observation as he had suffered deep burn injuries.“My mother and maternal uncle would have left today but many formalities could not be completed due to the weekend,” she added.
