2-day piles camp begins: A two-day piles check up camp began at Cheema Medical Complex in Phase IV here
today. Dr Ajaiwant Cheema, director, Cheema Medical Complex, said a selected number of 20 patients would undergo advanced free stapler surgery for treating piles in a painless way on June 13.

HAS exams on July 5: The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) will hold the combined competitive preliminary examinations for the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HAS) on July 5. A spokesperson of the HPPSC said the examination would be conducted at the centres located at Shimla, Solan, Mandi, Dharamsala, Nahan and Una in morning and afternoon shifts on July 5.‘Bima yojna’: The government on Saturday ordered the establishment of a separate society under the Societies Registration Act, 2006, which will work as the nodal agency for implementation of the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojna for BPL families in the health department. The general body of the society will consist of senior functionaries from the finance, labour and employment, ayurveda, social justice and empowerment, rural development, panchayati raj and information technology departments. Recruitment rally: The Indian Air Force will organise a recruitment rally at the police ground, near Bharari, from June 8 to 11. An official spokesperson said candidate who had passed their fclass XII examination with 50 per cent marks and have date of birth between July 1, 1988, to September 30, 1992, would be eligible to appear for the examination. Meeting postponed: A meeting of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) of the local Civil Hospital scheduled for Saturday was postponed due the lack of quorum. The samiti has 24 members but only nine turned up for the meeting. The SDM-cum-chairman of the samiti has now scheduled the meeting for June 10.
