Jalandhar boy first
confirmed case; 9 on watchlist
Jalandhar, June 14
Punjab today got its first
confirmed case of Swine flu with a Jalandhar schoolboy —who
had returned yesterday from an educational trip to NASA in the
US — testing positive for the H1N1 virus. Karandeep Singh, a
class XII student of Guru Amar Dass Public School in Model Town
here, along with 30 other students and three teachers, including
the principal, had left the country on June 3.

After Andhra Pradesh,
Karnataka has become the second southern state to report H1N1
flu cases with a mother-daughter duo testing positive for the
virus, taking the total tally of those suffering from Swine Flu
in the country to 20.
