Rhyme Time
Wake up call
I lament
The era I am born
in
Mother Earth is
crying
And Nature torn
So much of
pollution
What is the
solution?
Grow trees as many
as we can
Throw the plastic,
ban the cans
Factories are
emitting the smoke
The foul smell
makes us choke
People throw
wrappers around
There is deafening
noise around
Everyone talks of
pollution
But rarely think
of a solution
Let us all
understand
This way,
pollution will never end
Introspect,
appreciate the fact
And make, with
Nature, a pact
That we will
nurture and protect
All species of
living beings and plant
This is the only
mantra to chant
We for Nature,
Nature for all
Respond to this
clarion call
Be eco-friendly
That’s the way
to be trendy

My pet
When I was a child
I made up my mind
To keep many an
animal
Like an eagle, dog
and camel
Then, I saw a cat
Looking at the rat
Though the rat was
my toy
But the cat was
feeling joy
I picked up the
rat
Then looked at the
cat
And tried to catch
it
As I was a little
kid
After many hours
I got her at last
Then I thought she
must be hungry
As she was looking
very angry
I had no eatables
indeed
But I found
something to fulfil her need
I found a bowl
made up of brass
And tried to feed
the cat with some grass
