Industrialists seek compensation from state

Ludhiana, July 4
The Government of Punjab should compensate the industry for the tremendous loss suffered by it due to short and erratic supply of electricity in the state on the same pattern as it had decided to pay compensation to the farmers at the rate of Rs 4,000 per acre for the damage caused to crops by wild animals in the state. The industry in Punjab has been made to bear insurmountable sufferings due to the ill planning and deficient functioning of the PSEB, a public sector undertaking.
