Sentence of ex-Judicial Magistrate suspended
Chandigarh, July 9
Justice LN Mittal yesterday suspended the sentence awarded to UT’s former Judicial Magistrate Surinder Singh Bhardwaj. Convicted on May 16 under the Prevention of Corruption Act by CBI’s Special Judge Jagdeep Jain, the three-year sentence awarded to Bhardwaj had initially been kept in abeyance till June 15 for enabling him to appeal against the trial court orders.
