PSEB snaps supply to malls, showrooms after 7.30 pm

Reeling under severe power crisis, the Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) has decided to snap power supply to all commercial establishments, including shopping malls and showrooms, after the closure time fixed by the authorities.

Garg, District Magistrate, Ludhiana, passed an order under Section 144 that all government, private,
recognised, non-recognized, CBSE and ICSE schools in the district would remain closed up to July 12.
Exploitation slur on manager

Raising their voice against injustice at work place has cost two female employees of a super store their jobs.The girls, working at the superstore, had levelled serious allegations of exploitation against their human resource manager. Following the complaint, the girls were allegedly asked to quit their jobs by the company management.

Body of 7-yr-old girl found

Punjab swimming championship from today

The 25th Sub-Junior and the 34th Junior Punjab State Swimming and Water polo Championship for boys and girls in the age groups of 15-17 years, 13-14 years, 11-12 years and 9-10 years would be held at the Punjab Agricultural University swimming pool from July 10 to 12, said Apinder Singh Grewal, president, Punjab Swimming Association. Competitions in all the national events will be conducted during the three-day meet.
