Three cheers to Baby Bachchan! Twitter must have swelled to capacity with the exclamations
and the congratulations over the new born baby. But weren’t we tweeting already
over the million dollar question — a boy or a girl? Among the compulsive
betters, those hooting for the boy have already lost. By now, it’s stale news
that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has delivered a baby girl!

Tapestry of dance
The pace at which the Lady Gagas and Rakhi Sawants are busy
ruining the essence of dancing in India, the day is not far when traditional
forms of this art will be history. Keeping this in mind, the Society for
Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture among Youth (SPIC-MACAY), in
association with the Department of Evening Studies and the Tibetan Institute of
Performing Arts (TIPA), has brought together dances from the Roof of the
World. Spring in step: The group of
performers from Tibet

Reading between pixels
Trying to woo a woman just by posting your best-looking snap alongside an online
profile may not be the best idea after all--a study has found that women can
identify a physically attractive man just by reading his profile.

Exotic touch Nothing can match the pleasure of plucking a fruit or a vegetable from one’s own
garden. The freshness is the best reward.  Besides, growing one’s own vegetables
gives one a surety against the consumption of vegetables obtained from market
and suspected to be loaded with insecticides. Try your own hand this winter on
growing your own vegetables.

Sweet nothings! Have you ever walked into a bakery feeling sick and tired of
the tasted varieties of cakes, pastries, cookies and the small chocolate
delights lined up behind the counter? If the boondi ka laddos are too
traditional for you, why don’t you give it an Arabic twist and try out the
varieties of baklava, particularly today on the National Baklava Day? As several
countries take credit for the delight, Turkey steers clear and takes all the
credit for introducing the world to the mouth-melting dessert.

trendsetterShe wears her confidence
Fashion and haute couture are an integral part of growing up. Yet, there are
only a few who have the knack of  deserving a second glance. It could be their
natty sense of dressing up or even an attitude they wear on their sleeve.

TROUBLE SHOOTER Go for your goal
I am overweight. My family keeps telling me to lose weight. I feel low and
depressed because I am unable to control my urge to eat. Nor can I exercise. I
want to lose weight but end up getting angry at my family when they tell me I am
fat.

 Master Chef Salad days
Scrumptious salads have now evolved from the simple round pieces of tomatoes and
cucumbers to exotic dishes. With different types of dressings and accompaniments
they are no less than an appetising healthy dish. This salad combines all the
ingredients for a wholesome appetizer besides looking tempting to the eye.

chatter boxSlap on the face
During shooting a scene in Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Abha (Suhasi Dhami) was
slapped by her saas (Surbhi Tiwari) but after few takes when the director didn't
get what he wanted, he asked Surbhi to give it a proper go and poor Suhasi had
to bear the brunt of a proper tight slap. Suhasi took it sportingly perhaps
because she too has slapped others in the show.
