Srinagar, September 15
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has welcomed the Central government’s announcement to allow Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail and leave it to the states to decide.
“I’m glad the government has announced FDI in retail and left it to the states to decide,” Omar said on microblogging site Twitter.
Referring to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Omar criticised the duo as “the defenders of federalism” who want to decide what is good for other states.”
