Kataria is Lt Guv of Puducherry

Senior Punjab Congress leader Virendra Kataria was today appointed the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, replacing incumbent Iqbal Singh while former Delhi Police Commissioner KK Paul has been named the Governor of Meghalaya.

These announcements were made by President Pranab Mukherjee, who also effected two other gubernatorial changes asking Jamia Milia Vice Chancellor Najeeb Jung to be the Lt Governor of Delhi in place of Tejinder Khanna and bringing in Lt Gen AK Singh (Retd) as Lt Gov of Andaman and Nicobar Island in place of Lt Gen Bhupinder Singh (Retd).
