4 injured in roof collapse
Jalandhar, July 11
Four members of a family were injured when the roof of their house at Nawa Pind in Kartarpur caved in on top of them while they were asleep late last night.
The injured, daily wage labourer Jagdish Kumar, wife Kulwinder Kaur and sons Vansh and
Davinder, were immediately taken to the Civil Hospital, Jalandhar. Jagdish's nephew Harpreet said the incident occurred around 2 am. He said it was perhaps because due to the accumulation of
 rainwater on the weak, leaking roof that the incident occurred. Even electricity cables came down with the rubble and the family got miraculously saved from electrocution.
