In Block Hoshiarpur 1 A, 15 primary schools (Pandori Nalka, Kathe, Chakkwal Brahmana, Sandhra, Lohar Kangna, Jandi, Sham Chaurasi, Talwandi, Pandori Rajpootan, Chadeyal, Dhuggan, Pandori Bhavan, Asal Pur, Hardokhan Pur) and eight upper primary schools (Government Middle School Randhawa Barotan, Government Senior Secondary School Sadhran, Government High School Dhamian Kalan, Government Middle School Chak Raju Singh, Pnadori Phangurian, Government Middle School Talandi Araiyan, Government Middle School Sham Chaurasi, Government Middle School Fambian) have failed water test.
In Hoshiarpur block 2-A, as many as 18 water samples have failed in 12 primary schools, out of which three are partially contaminated and nine are entirely contaminated (these include Government Elementary School Bajrawar, Rajpur Bhaian, Sahri, Pandori Kadd, Herian, Bhungrani, Pandori Bibi, Marnaiyan Khurd, Hukkran, Khanera, Phadsa and Rajowal) and upper primary schools (Government Middle School Maunan Kalan, Government High School Bhungrani, GMS Marnaian, GHS Phuglana, GMS Khanoura, Phadma and GHS Rajowal).
In block Hoshiarpur B-1 block, water samples in 33 of the total 71 primary schools failed. Of 23 upper primary schools, samples of seven schools failed. In Hoshiarpur 2-B block, water samples of eight of the total 59 schools failed (these include Bahian, Basi Ali Khan, Kodla, Bassi Saood Khan, Bassi Jamal Khan, Nawan Jatt Pur, Mahina, Kaccha Toda).
