Crows didn’t die of bird flu, says govt

TARN TARAN: The State Animal Husbandry Department (AHD) clarified that the crows in Baghiari village, 20 km from here, did not die of bird flu.

The State Animal Husbandry Department (AHD) clarified that the crows in Baghiari village, 20 km from here, did not die of bird flu. Dr. Raminder Mohan Monga, Deputy Director, AHD, today said no sign of bird flu was detected during preliminary examination conducted on the dead crows.

Monga said the birds might have died after consuming a poisonous substance. He further said the exact reason of the death would be known after the postmortem report was released from the National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases, Bhopal.
