Second victory for GNKC, Ramgarhia eves

LUDHIANA: On the second day of the Panjab University Inter-College Baseball Tournament for Women, Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Model Town, and Ramgarhia Girls, Miller Ganj, continued to dominate, and won their matches to march ahead.

Ludhiana, October 28

On the second day of the Panjab University Inter-College Baseball Tournament for Women, Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Model Town, and Ramgarhia Girls, Miller Ganj, continued to dominate, and won their matches to march ahead.

The tournament is being organised at the Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, and matches are being played on knock-out basis. Both teams had won their opening matches yesterday.

Pran Nath Passi, honorary general secretary, Punjab Softball Association, was the guest of honour.

In the first match of the day, Ramgarhia Girls College survived anxious moments against the Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Chandigarh, before coming out victorious 3-1 to move into the next round.

The second match was played between Shahi Sports College, Samrala, and Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Model Town, in which the latter faced a little challenge as they won it 16-1 to enter the next round of the tournament.
