BJP leader booked for raping 27-year-old woman

The Mumbai Police have booked BJP leader Daya Gaikwad for allegedly raping a 27-year-old woman from Thane.

The victim alleged: “Daya Gaikwad raped me at the house of Ashwini Dhumal.”

The victim said that she got to know about Gaikwad through Facebook.

"He said that he would marry me. I didn't know that he was married," the victim alleged.

Daya Gaikwad is a BJP corporator of Kalyan (West).

A case under Sections 376, 323, 504, 506, 34 of the IPC was registered against Daya.

The police is probing into the matter.
