Slaughterhouse rules : DCs directed to train officials

The state Directorate of Urban Local Bodies has asked Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to carry out a special training programme for the members of district committee for slaughterhouses in order to efficiently implement the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.

SCSH member Naresh Kadian said he had prepared a module. “It will include rules, inspection of the slaughterhouses and follow-up action,” he said. — TNS
