The police laid a naka on Elevated Road that has become an accident prone area. “During checking, we found people travelling at 100 km per hour. Over speeding has led to several fatal road mishaps on the busy Elevated Road,” said Dhruman Nimable, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic). The police intercepted around 40 persons for over speeding. However, several of them, who were not from Amritsar, were let off after being issued a warning.
