4 booked for abduction

TARN TARAN: Four members of a family of Talwandi Sobha Singh village, 45 km from here, have been booked for allegedly abducting a teenage girl of the same village.

Four members of a family of Talwandi Sobha Singh village, 45 km from here, have been booked for allegedly abducting a teenage girl of the same village. The girl is said to have taken away Rs 8 lakh and 22-tola gold ornaments along with her five days ago.

ASI Lakhwinder Singh, investigating officer, said the accused had been identified as Gursewak Singh, his mother Paramjit Kaur, cousins Jagroop Singh and Satnam Singh.

A case under Sections 363, 366-A, 457 and 380 of the IPC has been registered against them. Girl’s father mentioned in his compliant to the police that the accused took away the girl in the night hours five days ago.
