4 inmates booked for brawl in jail

The police booked four inmates for a brawl at Central Jail here yesterday.

The police booked four inmates for a brawl at Central Jail here yesterday. No serious injury has been reported.

The accused have been identified as Vicky alias Fuman of Fateh Singh Colony, Amritsar, Jodha Singh alias Shera of Aliwal Kotli Ajnala, Harpreet Singh of Ghnupur Kale Chheharta and Gurjit Singh of Bahadur Nagar PS Valtoha Tarn Taran. The jail superintendent, in a complaint to Gate Hakima police station, said the accused fought amongst themselves yesterday. A case has been registered under Section 323 of the IPC.

Meanwhile, the jail authorities also conducted an inspection and seized a smart phone from Kulwinder Singh, a resident of Sukh Sagar Avenue, Ajnala Road.

A case has been registered under Sections 42 and 52-A of the IPC.
