Tarn Taran, February 20

The 44th annual Sports and Athletic meet of Sri Guru Angad Dev College, Khadur Sahib, 25 kilometers from here was organised here today. College student in large numbers participated in the event. Track and field events including 100m race, 200m race, sack race, three leg race, shot put, long jump, spoon race and musical chair were organised. Best Athlete award was given to Sukhraj Singh and Prabhjot Kaur.

Sahib Singh Bhullar, an NRI, was the Chief Guest of the occasion and sub-inspector Sonamdeep Kaur, SHO police station Vairowal, was the Guest of Honour. Principal Dr Surinder Bangar highlighted the achievements of the department of sports. Sahib Singh Bhullar congratulated the college for organising the sports event and also appreciated Baba Sewa Singh for his efforts for the development of the area. Bhullar also congratulated the winners of the events.
