Bus conductor booked for molesting woman passenger

TARN TARAN: A conductor was booked for allegedly molesting and issuing threats to a woman passenger in a roadways bus.

A conductor was booked for allegedly molesting and issuing threats to a woman passenger in a roadways bus.

The accused has been identified as Gurjinder Singh. A case under Sections 354 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered against the accused. The incident came to light five days ago but the case was registered yesterday.

ASI Balbir Singh, who is investigating the case, said the accused molested the victim when she was coming from Kot Dharam Chand village.

Raj Kumar, station supervisor of the Punjab Roadways depot, said the accused was working on a contractual basis and his services had been terminated. He said action has been taken as the police took Gurjinder in to custody.
