The CBSE results for Class XII, declared today, left the city jubilant as several students came through with flying colours.

Premansh Sahni of DAV Public School scored 98 per cent marks in humanities, followed by Gauri Gupta who bagged 97.4 per cent marks in science and Aayush Chaudhary (science) and Ritika Vij (commerce), both scoring 97.2 per cent marks. Premansh said, “There is no substitute for hard work. One should keep a positive attitude towards life.”

Toppers of Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public (SGHSSP) School, GT road, assembled with boxes of chocolates and sweets. Jatin Sapra topped the school in the medical stream scoring 97 per cent, Diksha Sapra in the non-medical stream got 96.2 per cent, Simarpreet Kaur, Harshleen Kaur and Simranjit Kaur topped in the commerce stream with 95.8 per cent marks. A total of 285 students of the school appeared in the Class XII examination this year, of them 11 scored above 95 per cent, 43 students between 90 to 94 percent and 43 students scored above 85 per cent marks. Students of SGHSSP, Sultanwind Link road, achieved 100 percent pass result.

Jatin Sapra credited his success to his teachers and parents. He wants to be a doctor. “The mantra of success is devotion, dedication and discipline,” said Diksha Sapra.

At The Senior Study II, Harsimar Kaur of commerce got 97.6 per cent marks, Krishnam Kapoor and Anmol Jeet Singh Wadali scored 94.2 per cent marks in non-medical, and Angad Singh acquired 91.4 per cent marks in the medical stream.

Rheea Saggar (humanities) of Spring Dale School, bagged 97.4 per cent marks to top the school, while Kavya Gupta (commerce) scored 96.6 per cent and Manjot Singh (non-medical) and Harshit Sunkaria (medical) scored 95.4 and 94.8 per cent marks, respectively.

Jasmine Nirmal of Bhavan’s SL Public School got 97.2 per cent.

The first batch of Class XII students from Satya Bharti Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Chogawan village, too showed their prowess in studies.Two students scored above 90 per cent marks.

Muskaan Soi of Shri Ram Ashram Public School topped the institution by scoring 96 per cent in commerce, Hitul Sehgal (94.6%) stood second and Nidhi Bajaj (94.2%) stood third in the school.

Mridhu Tandon of DAV International School bagged 97.6 per cent marks. Divyanshu Ratti and Simranjeet scored 97 and 96.2 per cent, respectively.
