CBSE results: Schools abuzz with celebration

Most of the Class XII students were a happy lot in the city as they excelled in the CBSE exams, the results of which were declared on Saturday.

Yashasvi Khurana of Spring Dale Senior School has topped the city with 98.6% marks in the humanities stream, while Ankit Tuli of DAV International School secured 98.2% in commerce while Harsimar Singh made the city as well as Amritsar Public School proud by securing 98.4% in the science stream in the city.

Jubilant over her performance, Yashasvi said she wanted to be a civil servant. “One has to focus on his or her weak subjects. I aspire to study law and then appear for civil services,” she says.

Spring Dale students who came through with flying colours were Prerna Chopra (97.6% marks in commerce), Sabhya Kapoor (96.8% in non-medical) and Jasraymon Batra, who bagged 94.6% marks in the medical stream.

Ankit Tuli of DAV International School attributed his success to his teachers and parents. “I live in a joint family. The support of the family helped me perform well. I want to become a chartered accountant.” Students of the school danced to the beats of bhangra. Gaurav Aggarwal of the school scored 97.2% marks and Aarohi Arora got 97% marks.

Harsimar Singh of Amritsar Public School said, “I wish to study at the AIIMS.”

From SGHPS, GT Road, Navneet Kaur and Prabhjot Kaur in non-medical stream got 96.4% marks. Manvi and Manmilan Singh secured 95.8% in commerce, Ramnit Kaur got 95.2% in medical and Komalpreet Kaur scored 94% in humanities.

Suryansh of DAV Public School secured 97.8% in medical stream, followed by Kamya Malhotra and Nivera Garg, who secured 96% in commerce and arts, respectively. Nayonica Sahni and Gauri Chopra secured 95.6% in medical and non-medical streams, respectively.

The Senior Study School, Putlighar, too was abuzz with celebrations. Raizy Nayyar got 96.8% in medical, Manpreet Kaur 96.4% in non-medical and Prerna Bhatia of commerce scored 95.8% marks.

From Sidana International School, Harsimran Kaur (96.2%), Arshnoor Batra (94.4%) and Saba (94%) were the centre of attraction as they received congratulatory messages from students and staff.

Piyush from medical and Chahat from commerce brought laurels to Bhavans SL Public School by scoring 97% marks. Disha Mann topped in science in Police DAV Public School.

Students erupt into the celebratory mode at Shri Ram Ashram Public School after they came to know that Ridhima Sharma (commerce) and Sukreeti (medical) had secured 95.4% marks. Mehak Arora from commerce and Priyam Sareen from non medical got 94.8%.

Bhavya Gupta of Delhi Public School also made the school proud by securing 97% in medical stream. Kashish Jain secured 94.4% in commerce and Sargun 96.2% in humanities.

Students of Satya Bharti Adarsh Senior Secondary School, too, performed well.
