As many as 4000 cops have been put on duty to carry out peaceful Civic polls tomorrow. Police Commissioner in exercise of his magisterial powers has declared dry day tomorrow.

In a statement issued by Police Commissioner SS Srivastav, over 4000 cops will be deputed at 365 polling stations. Out of total 365 polling stations in the 85 wards, 118 polling stations have been declared as hyper-sensitive and 155 polling stations as sensitive.

Police commissioner said, 35 patrolling parties have been constituted which would remain on move throughout the city. All the police officials have been instructed to remain in the field to thwart any untoward incident and reserve police parties have also been deputed.

He said, nakas have been installed inside and outside the city and all the vehicles are being checked. Police is keeping a close eye on the anti-social elements and motorcycle and foot patrolling is being done in crowded areas.

Police is also checking the hotels and inns to find out any supporters of the candidates from outside the city, who can be trouble makers during the elections. Those who were found involved in creating law and order problem, they would be taken to task.

Police has also banned carrying of sharp weapons, firearms, explosive or any other inflammable material till December 20 in order to maintain peace in the city.
