Preparations in full swing

AMRITSAR: Preparations are on for the elections to the top positions of the Chief Khalsa Diwan (CKD). The polls are scheduled to be held on March 25.

Preparations are on for the elections to the top positions of the Chief Khalsa Diwan (CKD). The polls are scheduled to be held on March 25. 

A meeting of all contenders was convened on Wednesday to take certain decisions to ensure fair and transparent polls. 

Narinder Singh Khurana, honorary secretary, CKD, said the polls would be held between 1.30 pm and 5.30 pm on the CKD premises through the ballot paper process and the results would be announced in the evening. 

Dhanraj Singh, Rajindermohan Singh Chhina and Dr Santokh Singh are contesting elections for the post of president while for vice-president, Nirmal Singh, Sarbjit Singh and Baldev Singh are in the fray. For the post of honourary secretary, Gurinder Singh Chawla, Surinder Singh Rumalianwale and Santokh Singh Sethi are contesting the elections. — TNS
