AMRITSAR: The committee constituted by the syndicate of the Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), to look into the allegations of harassment against the former head of music department will give their final verdict on May 28.

The committee constituted by the syndicate of the Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), to look into the allegations of harassment against the former head of music department will give their final verdict on May 28.

The former head of music department said, “The varsity has issued a notice to the students to refrain them from speaking in front of any competent authority.”

However, the university authorities said that the notice asked the students not to appear before the police as they have marked an inquiry.

A spokesperson of the GNDU said, “ We have only asked the students not to get get carried away and appear before the police as an an internal inquiry is being held.”

It is pertinent to mention that the students of music department had alleged mental harassment by their chairperson and submitted a written complaint.
