The annual cultural programme of the girls hostel themed `Parvaaz-2018’ was organised at Khalsa College on Wednesday. Students participated enthusiastically and performed skit, giddha and modelling to showcase their talent in diverse fields. Navneet Kaur, a student of MSc (Mathematics), won the title of Miss Hostel.

Principal Dr Mehal Singh, who was the chief guest at the function, emphasised upon the importance of women empowerment and appreciated the students for their achievements both in academics as well as extracurricular activities.

A painting competition was also held on the occasion. Prof Sawraj Kaur, Prof Geetinder Kaur, Prof Amrit Kaur and Prof Jasmeet Kaur were the judges. The winners as well as participants were given prizes and certificates. Hostel warden Prof Supninderjeet Kaur and superintendent Prabhjot Kaur were also present.
