A delegation of the Canadian MPs, which has come to India along with Justin Trudeau, visited Pakhoke village here today. They had gone to the village upon getting an invitation from Alwinderpal Singh Pakhoke, former president of the SGPC.
The delegation, led by MP Hardeep Singh Sran, Kavin Lemboo and others personalities, took keen interest in the Punjabi culture. MP Hardeep Singh Sran, while addressing the gathering, appreciated the progress made by the Punjabi community in Canada and said that it was due to this that 17 Punjabi personalities had been elected to the Canadian Parliament.
Former SAD Minister Bikram Singh Majathia welcomed the delegation on behalf of the SAD. The delegation members were honoured.
