Amritsar, February 14

Health employees will organise a mop-up drive, a part of the ongoing deworming campaign being run at schools and anganwari centres in the district, on Friday.

Children above one and below 19 were administered albendazole tablets.

Civil Surgeon, Dr Narinder Kaur said, “A few schools are apprehensive about allowing the department to administer the tablets. In case of such schools, we have asked them to educate parents and get their consent as all national health programmes are required to be implemented strictly,” she added.
