Environmentalists and NGOs working on environment conservation yesterday met at the District Library to create awareness through discussion on stubble burning issue. Mission Aghaaz led the discussion session.

“Stubble burning has caused immense harm to the environment, yet lapses in implementation of laws is resulting in many farmers ignoring the rules. Even residents have been burning heaps of garbage, which is against the law,” said Babbar.

The NGOs that participated in the meet included Rotary Club, Barkat Welfare Society, Mission Aghaaz and book club members.
