Grocery shop owner looted

AMRITSAR: Three unidentified robbers looted a grocery shop at Rampura village here last evening. The accused had covered their faces and were carrying firearms.

Three unidentified robbers looted a grocery shop at Rampura village here last evening. The accused had covered their faces and were carrying firearms.

The police have registered a case under Section 379-B of the IPC while there was no breakthrough in the incident so far.

Harjit Singh alias Bittu of Rampura village stated to the police that at around 8.45 pm, he along with his helper was present at the shop when three youths with shorn hairs entered the shop.

They had covered their faces. They pointed a gun at him and snatched Rs 4,000 in cash from him. Later, they fled towards the Daburji side on their motorcycle.
