Following a tip-off, the CIA staff has nabbed Tejinder Singh alias Teji of the Guru Nanank Pura area for fraud and counterfeiting the registration plate of his vehicle. Teji was driving a taxi for personal use by fixing a fake number plate in order to evade tax.

Now, a case under Sections 420 and 472 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against him. Police officials said that Teji owns a Toyta Innova car having the original number PB-01-A-1213. However, in order to evade inspection, he tempered with the registration number plate and fixed a fake number PB-02-BM-7779. He was intercepted at the firecracker market on Chamrang Road.
