MC staff reshuffled

MC Commissioner Sonali Giri reshuffled 80 junior officials and clerks here today. After issuing the list of transfers, she instructed the heads of all departments to ensure compliance with the orders with utmost strictness. She stated that it may not be comfortable for many, but necessary for better and accountable administration of the corporation. So bear with the transition, she stated.

She issued directions to the department heads that they would have to submit compliance report on Monday morning. “Non compliance will entail strict action. A handover and charge taken report be generated by all changing their posts and record be handed over accordingly,” she stated in her instructions to the officials.

She stated that interference or recommendation from anyone for changes wouldn’t be tolerated and disciplinary action would be initiated without any delay for use of unfair practices as per civil services conduct rules and municipal laws.

“Their may be some problems in a few service delivery mechanisms for a few days. We urge the residents to bear with us,” she stated.
