The holy city is all set to get a new Circuit House in October. Raised with an investment of Rs 23 crore at the same place where the old circuit house existed, a portion of the old building will be preserved as part of town heritage. The new Circuit House has an area of 75,000 sq feet. It will comprise 60 AC bedrooms besides a conference hall with a seating capacity of 100 people and three small meeting halls. Dining hall and welcome points will also be constructed in the Circuit House.
Solar system, CCTV cameras and dining hall will be its key features.
The state-of-the-art Circuit House will prove to be a major asset of the district as it has been designed to match the religious flavor of the holy city, besides providing ultra modern facilities at the venue, said Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kamaldeep Singh Sangha. “For official meetings and VVIP visits, two separates suits will also be constructed with the facility of meeting rooms,” he said.
Talking about the security arrangements, the DC said more than 100 CCTVs will also be installed at important points in the Circuit House. Fire fighting system and solar panels would also be installed, he added.
