ADCP-cum-Director of Vigilance Bureau BK Uppal on Tuesday visited Jandiala Guru to investigate the usurping of crores of rupees by Veerumal Mulkhraj Jain Rice Mill. He met officials of victim firm. It is worth mentioning here that the mill owner is said to have embezzled 467 wagons of paddy besides failing to repay Rs 203 crore to Punjab National Bank. Uppal asked the officials that how did the bank passed cash credit limit of Rs 203 crore.
Uppal stated that the Vigilance Bureau had been investigating the matter from all aspects and appropriate action would be taken against guiltily persons. — TNS
