One deported from Doha, held

AMRITSAR: The airport police station arrested Satnam Singh of Pakharpura village, near here, after he was deported from Doha for possessing fake travel documents.

Amritsar, March 21

The airport police station arrested Satnam Singh of Pakharpura village, near here, after he was deported from Doha for possessing fake travel documents.

Complainant immigration officer Narotam Dass stated that the passenger alighted from a flight from Doha yesterday and officials immediately handed him over to the police.

The police has registered a case under Sections 420, 468 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code against the accused.
