After assuming office of the Education Minister of the state, OP Soni arrived in the city to a floral welcome on Wednesday. His procession resulted in a traffic jam on the Bhandari bridge in the city.

Congress supporters gathered in large numbers as he went in an open jeep to the Golden Temple and Durgiana Temple.

Talking to media, he announced that he would work for the development of the state. He stated that the education system would be improved with more stress on quality classroom education. He added that sincere efforts would be made to bring down the pollution level.

During his arrival, the main Bhandari bridge got jammed for hours, causing a great inconvenience to residents.
