Members of the Berozgaar DPI and Physical Education Teachers Union on Sunday urged the state government to fill vacancies of physical education teachers.
Gagan Kumar, president of the union, said, “A new sports policy has been framed this year. We want the recruitment of staff and there must be an examination to check the physical fitness of physical education teachers.”
Keshav Kohli, a member of the union, said, “For the past many years, there has been no recruitment for physical education teachers and the irony is that the state government is keen on promoting sports in schools. There have been various advertisement in past for recruitment, but no one has been given a job.”
