Welcoming the implementation of Anand Marriage Act in New Delhi, SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal has urged the Union Government to put it into practice in other states too.
In a press release, Longowal said it was possible due to the efforts of SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal and Delhi Gurdwara Management Committee general secretary. “It is an achievement I request the Union Government to get it implemented in all states so that Sikhs may get their marriages registered,” he added. — TNS
