Six arrested with drugs

Tarn Taran, June 11

Six persons have been arrested for possessing drugs. As much as 70 gm of heroin and 1,600 intoxicating tablets and capsules have been seized. The police caught Naresh Kumar, Mohinder Lal, Satpal Singh and Jassa Singh of Bhikhiwind and seized 45 gm of heroin and 1,200 intoxicating capsules along with 400 tablets. Meanwhile, the Patti Sadar police arrested Piara Singh of Mari Nau Abad village and seized five gram of heroin. The Verowal police arrested Amritpal Singh of  Kot Sanghar and recovered 20 gm of heroin. All of them have been booked. — OC

Man held with stolen bike

Tarn Taran: Kulwant Singh Kalu of Sarali Manda village has been arrested by the local city police with a stolen motorcycle (PB-46L-4913) from the Sarhali road. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Amrik Singh said the accused had been booked under Sections 379 and 411 of the IPC. — OC
